He wrote her name in his footsteps,

Counting the syllables of her smile with his shaking breaths,

And that’s why she loved him,

Tenderly and quietly and with volumes too low to hear,

Calling upon his soft cologne scent during midnights and

Falling asleep to the sounds of his vein throbs

Far away from hers.
