The Ocean in Us #4

When you finally spoke it was like baby’s breath

Bubbling out its careful ivory petals through

The small, soft part of your lips and

I puckered my own quickly to force back the need to

Look you in the eyes through grey fogging light and

Inhale deeply the sweet smell of your inner

Vodka and honesty and wary ocean thunder-

I said everything I meant to in a sigh.
