Inhibited

Let me love you.

Let me wrap your bones in cellophane

And ribboned padding;

Let me hoist up your sails and

Whisper into your winds and move you

Across massive expanses of the world-

Let me,

Let me remove the darkness from your eyes with my

Fingertips let me kiss away your scars and replace

Them with freckles let me clothe you in armor and

Kill off the moonbeams that threaten to persuade you away.

Let me love you,

Let me protect you with every ounce of my body and my being because,

Because I will always be afraid of losing the sunshine,

And I will always fear losing the smiles you

Paint on the walls when I’m not home.

This piece was inspired by my thoughts on the odd yet common phenomenon of one-sided obsession.

  1. This is the perfect blog for anyone who wants to find out about this
topic. You understand a whole lot its almost hard to argue with you (not that I actually
would want to…HaHa). You certainly put a brand new spin on a topic that
has been written about for decades. Excellent stuff, just great!
